Right now I´m in the States and just bought a Garmin GPS.After a couple of days experimenting, I´ve found that it´s lots of fun! Since I´m new at this kind of technology, I´m wondering if anybody has had any experience with the Garmin maps for Mexico?The North American version I bought does have roads in Mexico, but some of the town names in Mexico are woefully misspelled, so I have my doubts about the accuracy of a version for Mexico.

Do a search in that forum for Mexico.In summary, I use Microsoft Street and Trips 2009, which has pretty good Mexico mapping. It's not good for rural areas, but the street maps are better than anything else I've seen. I don't know if the 'Turn left in two blocks' type directions work or are accurate, though, since I don't GPS using directions.Other companies offer GPS maps (, ) but I can't vouch for their usability. The Fugawi maps appear to be their digital version of the INEGI topo maps I use with my netbook, but they want $200 for them (plus another $135 for their software) when you can get them from INEGI for around $60.
